Description

The Valentine's Event (Lovecraft) usually runs for 2 weeks with a 3 day cooldown. Farm Energy, grind the event zone, hope to find good loot while climbing the tiers, then kiss your friends. :D

Speak to Cupid in Windmoore to learn more about the Lovecrafting Event and the huggable threat that Arlor faces.

He'll direct you to the portal where you can spend Energy to enter the event zone.

Once you're inside the event zone, you can purchase the event Bane Item, the Enthralled Talisman. This item will prevent Hugthulu's tainted love barrels from damaging and slowing you.

Make your way through the map defeating enemies and the Merfkin mini-boss to collect L, O, V, and E Candy Letters. These can be Crafted into event tokens, or a Love Letter to summon the second boss, Hugthulu Prime.

Then, get ready for a fight! Hugthulu awaits.

Head back to Windmoore to chat with Remmi Amor for Quests to gain extra Tokens. She has 3 Quests (2 daily) to complete.

How to obtain Loot

Purchase the Bane Item (Enthralled Talisman), either from the Auction House for ideally 200k or from STS for 10 Platinum.

Play with rich, generous friends, and grind to reach Plat tier (it may take a while), then you'll have some Fleeting Love Farmer's Elixir, they will increase your chance to loot more items.

Split your party into two teams, each team going in one direction unless you find a Gold Merkfin, in that case, call it out then wait for the other team.

If you have a Gold Loot Set, it is advised to use Hotbar Loadouts to quickly switch between Gold Loot & Speed, though the extra effort to do this effectively may not be a good idea for all players.

Spend your Tokens on Parchment Paper, craft it into Love Letters and eventually, with a reliable party of friends you should have more Love Letters than you can use.

How to make Gold

Use a Gold Loot Set to receive more Gold from the chests in the event zone. Purchase Parchment Paper with your tokens, then either sell it as it is or Craft it into Love Letters, depending on which one will make you more profit.

You may also farm Gold Love Letters using the Golden Love Elixir, wait until there is a shortage of a Gold Candy Letter, then capitalise on that, sell yours for a very high price.

Seek out and kill Hugthulu's Minions that drop pink Candy Hearts that can be crafted into Lovecraft Tokens Kit.

On damage the Kraken Battle Pendant has a chance to grant the Defender of the Depths damage reflection shield for ten (10) seconds (36 sec. cooldown). This shield has a 100% chance to reflect up to 500% of incoming damage. While the shield is active your Dodge Chance is lowered.

Shredder Spawn proc: if an enemy is defeated while the Defender of the Depths shield is active a school of friendly Shredder Fish is spawned to fight by your side. Shredder Fish return to the Zodian Ether after twenty (20) seconds.

Love Elixir: Grants you a temporary display of hearts and 2 nearby players 2 hearts.
Golden Love Elixir: Grants a chance to get a Golden Love Letter Chest from Lovecraft mobs and bosses.

Event Scoring and Tier Rewards

Killing Hugthulu gives you Tier Points. Climb through Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Plat Tiers for awesome rewards! At Gold Tier and above, use a Love Letter (crafted from Parchment Paper and L-O-V-E Candy Letters) to summon Hugthulu Prime at his altar! Killing Hughtulu Prime gives you significantly more Tier points.

Note: Hugthulu Prime is a Level 81 Boss only. While his level will scale, his stats will be equivalent to Lvl 81 no matter what level you are.
